The day brought together the city, the countryside, and creativity in a pleasant, all-day rhythm. The morning first took the group through Stories of Maribor, where the city came alive during short stops and relaxed conversations. The route then continued with views of the wine-growing hills to the Leber farm, where three generations of winemakers welcomed the guests and opened the doors to their Wine House. The tasting of fresh, natural wines was nicely complemented by a selection of local delicacies, and the atmosphere was homely and cheerful.
In the middle of the day, there was a short stop at a popular local bar, where owners Chris and Miha roast coffee and brew beer on site. The team caught their breath and enjoyed the flavors, then moved on to the DekoFunArt studio, where, over a glass of local wine, they created their own works of art, step by step and with clear explanations, no prior experience necessary. Because the guests bought so many souvenirs, we stopped at a Chinese shop after the workshop so they could buy luggage. The evening was the icing on the cake. Under the guidance of chef Jure Kačičnik, the group prepared a warm autumn dinner in the spirit of the grape harvest, pumpkin soup, roasted chicken with autumn side dishes, and grape pie, accompanied by Styrian wines. The day ended on a cheerful and convivial note, with the feeling that Maribor had stayed a little longer.
